Winner of the International Songwriting Competition 2010 World Music category, Mutinda is a strong vocalist and acoustic guitar-player playing Afro-folk music which contains rare sounds of Kenyan music meeting the world influences today. Flavors of ambient music and rock-beats with a taste of afro-jazz. Since the release of his first album “Matopeni” in December 2008, he has firmly established himself in the music and entertainment industry in Kenya and East-Africa. In 2010 Mutinda traveled to Europe where he performed with a Danish based band.
